Planets in the Night Sky
I have really enjoyed looking at the planets this week in the night sky. Here is the picture my dad took with his camera from our back porch on Sunday night.
The planets are Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter in this shot, and Saturn has been viewable in the southeastern sky as well.
There is a new planetarium show at the Herrett Center called Light Years from Andromeda. Check out the cool shows at the CSI museum this summer!
For more information, please contact the Herrett Center for Arts and Science at 732-6655 or go to its website at Herrett.csi.edu.

Back to blogging thanks to NSF!
Thanks to an NSF Workshop at BSU, I am back in the blogosphere. The workshop dealt with effective communication strategies that scientists need to use so their message is shared with nonscientists. Our last session tackled blogs. I have missed sharing all the great STEM events and personal experiences I have had this past year so here I go again.
Today I remembered the cool people involved with Idaho EPSCoR. I saw a few friends from Idaho universities. I met Joan from Idaho PTV D4K. Most importantly, we had 5 faculty from CSI attend. It's been a good day.
